Where Paxeer X goes next
The network is live and software pays on it every day. This is how we are making it more useful, in six themes that run side by side rather than in sequence.
How we decide what comes next
We ask one question of every item: does it let software do something with money that it could not do before, with a person still in control? If the answer is yes and builders are asking for it, it moves up.
Proposals and parameter changes go through on-chain governance, so PAX holders decide the order with us.
01
Pay anything, from anywhere
Every asset your customers already hold becomes something an agent can spend.
Agents pay in PAX or any supported asset today, and the set of supported assets, bridges and payment standards keeps widening. We are making sponsored gas the default for consumer apps, so a user can pay for an inference call without ever learning what gas is, and bringing the major agent payment standards to the same one-line integration.
- More bridged assets across the nine connected networks
- Sponsored gas as the default for apps
- x402, MCP and A2A payments with one integration
02
Control that reads like a policy, not a config file
A finance lead writes the rule in plain words. The network enforces it.
Budgets, allowlists, time windows and per-service limits are already enforced by the chain. We are building the layer above them: team accounts with roles, approvals that reach a person on their phone when a spend crosses a threshold, and policy templates for the common cases, such as a research agent, a procurement agent or a trading desk.
- Team accounts and roles in PaxPort
- Approvals that reach a phone for out-of-policy spends
- Policy templates for common agent jobs
03
Proof that travels
A receipt from Paxeer X is accepted anywhere the way a bank statement is accepted today.
Every action already comes back with a signed receipt. We are extending that proof outward: statements that drop straight into accounting software, signed outputs from providers so a buyer can verify what was delivered and not just that it was paid for, and attestations that bind a result to the hardware it ran on.
- Statement exports for accounting and audit
- Signed outputs and delivery verification from providers
- Hardware attestations for sensitive workloads
04
Markets built for machine participants
Software trades, launches and prices assets in the same place it holds them.
Perpetuals, spot markets, token launches and price oracles run natively on the chain. The next step is depth and breadth: more markets, better tools for market makers who run as agents, and compute and AI task markets where a provider lists capacity once and gets paid every time it is used.
- More perpetual and spot markets with native margin
- Tooling for agent market makers
- Compute and AI task markets with per-task settlement
05
Programs that pay their own way
Deploy a piece of logic once and let it earn and spend on its own account.
WebAssembly programs run on the chain with metered fees and can request web data as part of a call. We are growing the toolchain around them: more languages, a richer local environment, and templates for the programs people build most often, such as paid APIs, escrow agents and recurring billing.
- More languages targeting the program runtime
- A local environment that mirrors the network exactly
- Templates for paid APIs, escrow agents and billing
06
A wider, more neutral network
More nodes, more frameworks and more providers, with no single party in the middle.
The chain runs on public nodes and is governed with one-hour votes. We are growing the validator set, adding adapters for every major agent framework, and bringing more compute, inference and data providers into the ecosystem so the agent you ship has somewhere to spend.
- A larger validator set and more public RPC nodes
- Adapters for every major agent framework
- More providers listed in the ecosystem
Help set the order
Governance votes close in an hour and anyone holding PAX can take part. The Machine Economy whitepaper explains the reasoning behind every theme on this page.
